A meeting was organised by IQAC, Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya in collaboration with ISWO, Dhenkanal, on 9 December 2025 as part of the ongoing “16-days of activism against gender-based violence towards women and girls”. The session aimed to raise awareness on issues of discrimination, abuse, and gender injustice while empowering students with knowledge on available support mechanisms and legal protections. Resource persons from ISWO highlighted the need for collective responsibility in addressing violence and stressed the role of youth in fostering a safe and equitable society. Faculty members and students actively participated in discussions, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to promoting gender sensitivity, equality, and a violence-free environment for women and girls.
A career counselling session was conducted by Career Counseling Cell and IQAC, Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya on 09 December 2025 in collaboration with GATI and the Commerce and Transport Department, Government of Odisha, aimed at enhancing students’ awareness of emerging career opportunities and guiding them towards informed academic and professional choices. The programme featured expert resource persons who highlighted various government and private sector career pathways, skill-based training avenues, and the growing relevance of employability skills in today’s competitive environment. Students actively participated in the interactive discussions, sought clarifications on career planning, and received personalised guidance on course selection, competitive examinations, and future prospects. The session significantly motivated the learners, enriching their understanding of diverse career options and reinforcing the institution’s commitment to empowering young women through meaningful academic–industry collaboration.


Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 was observed from 27th October to 2nd November 2025 with the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.” As part of the observance, various activities were conducted, including the Integrity Pledge by all staff, a rally, a cyclathon, and both Odia and English competitions such as the Vigilance Awareness Debate and the Vigilance Awareness Quiz.

Group Discussion competition was held in the smart-classroom 2 at 10 am to nominate students for participation in GirlsZen Jury. The Topic of GD was Our Tradition, Our Climate and Our Future.

Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya held an Orientation Session on 28/10/25 on the importance of Viksit Bharat Youth Leader Dialogue, and started playing a mass registration drive of their students for the Dialogue. The students attended the online quiz on the My Bharat portal by joining online as well as using the QR code.

A competition on Innovation and Start up was held on 25 August 2025 among the students of Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya. Three start up ideas were selected for participating in University level competition.
