DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICS:
The Department was established in the year 2015, and offers Physics as an Honours subject in the Bachelors Degree with 24 Seats. The allotment is made by the Government of Odisha through Student Academic Management System (SAMS). The subject is taught as an Elective and Core for Degree Students for three years under graduate (UG) course in Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) syllabus. Final year students are encouraged to participate/conduct seminars in various topics related to physics subject. The Department has a fully functional Seminar Library with latest edition/ publications on various fields of the subject for which the students are immensely benefited. The Department also emphasizes on co-curricular excellence of the students besides academic activities. Students passing out of the Department either pursue higher studies or opt for various career options.
Profile of the Faculty
Dr. Swati Sucharita Pradhan has been awarded PhD from Birla Institute of Technology (BIT), Mesra, in the year 2014. She has 12 years of teaching experience. She joined in teaching profession in the year 2011. She has carried out her research work at CSIR-IMMT Bhubaneswar in Advanced Material Technology department. She has published more than 10 research articles in peer reviewed journals and also presented more than 10 research papers/posters in various conferences/workshops/symposia. She has also completed 3 Refreshers Courses. Her specialization is Electronics and her research interests include Materials Science, Plasma Processing, Thin films, PVD.
Biswajit Sahoo has completed MSc from Gangadhar Meher University in 2017. He has 3 years of teaching experience. He has attended 2 seminars/workshops.
B. Aishwarya Laxmi has completed MSc from IGIT Sarang in 2022. She has 1 year of teaching experience.
