was celebrated at Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya on 8th September 2026 under the aegis of the IQAC in collaboration with the Department of English, Odia and Sanskrit in the Smart Classroom at 10.30 am. Dr. Sakuntala Jena, Principal and Sri Bhubaneswar Muduli, Administrative Bursar graced the occasion and illuminated the students on the importance of the International Literacy Day and value of education in human life. An essay competition was held on the occasion to create awareness among the students on ‘education and literacy in present time’.Dr. Tapas Kumar Jena and Dr. Sarojini Das, Department of Odia, and Udhaba Mallick, Department of Sanskrit, and Dr. Shidharth Sankar Ram, Department of Botany and Member, IQAC extended all support and active participation to make the event a success. Dr. Jajati Keshari Pradhan, Department of English and Coordinator, IQAC, facilitated and coordinated the programme. The programme highlighted the importance of literacy as a foundation for education, empowerment, equality and responsible citizenship. The programme ended with vote of thanks by the IQAC Coordinator.The celebration reinforced the institution’s commitment to the ideals of Education for All, Empowerment and Stronger Communities.
