DEPARTMENT OF POLITICAL SCIENCE:
The Department of Political Science of Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Dhenkanal starts its journey with Honours programme in year 2015. The Department, though still in its nascent stage, provides quality teaching at graduation level. The department is well equipped with a Seminar Library and collections of latest books in various relevant topics in the study of Political science, along with various magazines and journals are available for the students. Regular seminars and other co-curricular activities are held in the department for providing the students exposure to recent developments in National and International Politics. The Department has an intake of 16 students in an admission session for its Honours programme. The department holds a good record of the students being highly successful in terms of higher study and availing of jobs.
Gokulananda Mohapatra has completed his MA from Hyderabad Central University in 2015 and M.Phil in Political Science from Utkal University in 2016. He has been teaching in Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya since his joining the college in 2018. He has 4 years of teaching experience at Graduation Level.
Jayaprada Dash has completed her MA and MPhil from Fakir Mohan University in 2016 and 2017 respectively. She joined Dhenkanal Mahila Mahavidyalaya in 2023.
