DEPARTMENT OF BOTANY:
The Department of Botany came into being in the year 2015 with its Honours programme in Botany. The Department has intake strength of 32 seats in Botany Honours in an academic session the allotment of which is made by the Govt of Odisha through Student Academic Management system (SAMS). The aim of the Department is to impart quality education to the young budding students so as to prepare them to meet diverse challenges of life. The Department has a seminar library from which books are issued to the students. Seminars are also held in which seminar papers are presented by the students. Students of the Department are performing very well in their university examinations and other competitive examinations.

Dr. Sagorika Panda has published 7 research articles and also presented 10 research papers in various seminars. She has also completed 1 Refreshers Course. Her specialization is Biochemistry and Biotechnology. She is a life member of Odisha Botanical Society.
Mrs. Reema Mishra has completed her MSc from Utkal University. She has 6 years of teaching experience. She has been in the teaching profession since 2016. Her specialization is Industrial Microbiology. She has attended 1 workshop and 10 seminars/symposiums.
Miss Monalisa Sahoo has completed her MSc from Utkal University in 2020. She has 2 years of teaching experience. She has attended 12 seminars and 2 workshops.
